Graciano 2015

GracianoGraciano is a black-skinned grape variety that is rarely seen outside its home territory in northern Spain.  Graciano is one of those grape varieties that is more likely to be found on the back label than the front. It is highly prized for its intense aromatic properties, but notoriously low-yielding in the vineyard. Consequently, it is not widely planted and typically appears alongside Tempranillo and Garnacha in various interpretations of the red Spanish blends. At Dell’uva Wines we live with Graciano’s low yields, but are rewarded with the most delicious of wines.

A low-yielding grape variety, Graciano is layers of luscious dark fruits, silken tannins, and a fine, nervy acid. Persistent, velvety, and lush, our Graciano will age happily for quite some years. Concise tannin and acid, with a finely balanced oak profile and generosity of fruit have created a wine clearly expressive of site and variety.
